A scene, a day, an event that would be etched deeply in my mind. A moment I had sincerely secretly hoped that time would stop, so that nothing would ever change such a beautiful moment. Thank you for letting me see all these, their love give me hope. It's always the far aparts, who will treasure each other and every moment together. We really should learn, to not take people for granted.. :')
Everyone was there. Every single one of them, except for one cousin who had just gave birth to a baby is resting at home. All their children were there, except for the eldest brother who had passed away years ago. All their grandchildren were there. Every single one of them.
In this world, what should we expect? Should we expect that even though people always says, blood is thicker than water, every single one of the family members should stay around till the end of the world? Sadly, no. This world doesn't work this way anymore. People having the same blood running in their body, quarrel, had cold war, avoid each other and even to the extend of not acknowledging each other's presence. With people who does not carry the same blood; the son-in-law, the daughter-in-law, bound to have some dispute and disagreement within the family which may even cause siblings, parents and children to have dispute.
In this family, I see none. Not just yet, and I hope I'll never see any. Sure, they have dispute, disagreement, unhappiness. I mean, who don't? You do quarrel with your siblings, scream back at your parents, had cold war and maybe even violence. What's important is, at the end of the day, everyone go back to square one of caring and loving each other. That's what I saw. They talked it all out, at the very least. :) They never let money come in between them. At least, they try not to, cause they clearly understood how much destruction money can cause. They make sure they equally split the cost spent on their parents, but not to the point of calculating every single expense in details. They make sure if they have problem or things to voice out, they will sit down and hold a family meeting and sort it all out.
What touched my heart was to see how much each and every of the siblings care for each other and how much they actually love each other. Nope, they are not the kind who voice out or even show their love and care, but the moment they are drunk, everything just spills out from the bottom of their heart. ;') They just show how much they want each other to be well. Not only that, they even had a after party chat. Planning on how to provide for their parents and let them enjoy the rest of their life. How adorable. How heartwarming. How touching to witness such scene. So much talking that night.. It's a pity we couldn't stay over. The look on their faces when we say we are not staying over, hurts. That sudden drop of smiles on their faces when we say we are unable to come back for Chinese New Year, hurts.
The fun we had that day, the encouragement they give one another, the adorable moments by grandparents, is wonderful.
Thank you for letting me believe there's still hope. Thank you. I'm really am contented. Hope everything stays. I hate imagining such beautiful things change to any ugly state. Treasure the peace and fun. :'))
